Mimosa Bay playground is now officially open and ready for resident children to enjoy.
As this has been a long process to achieve, many thanks go out to several volunteers to help bring this project to it’s completion.
First, thanks to Hannah Seligson for doing all the legwork of gathering information and pricing from several companies for the Board to compare. With Hannah’s help, a selection was made to fit the dimensions of the existing playground area. Thank you Hannah.
The rubber mulch was researched and with the help of ECC, a significant savings was achieved through a NJ based company. Although the initial cost of rubber mulch is higher, the longevity far exceeds wooden mulch which needs replacing yearly to bi-yearly. Thank you Eric of ECC.
Thank you to all the community residents who helped in the difficult task of removing all the old wooden mulch in the playground area. Your hard work and sweat is appreciated. On an added note, the playground installer said it was the best prepared site he has worked on. Job well done. Thank you again to ECC for hauling away the old mulch.
Finally, thanks to the volunteer residents and Amenities committee who helped distribute the 8 1/2 pallets of rubber mulch.
This has truly been a community effort and thanks to all who contributed their time and energies.
