H&H Homes
Ralph Huff started H&H Homes, Inc. in 1991 to fulfill his lifelong dream of building homes. His fifteen years prior experience as a banker and REALTOR give him unique insight as to what homebuyers believe is most important. His wife Linda joined the firm in 1994. The Huffs have developed numerous subdivisions including the construction of nearly three thousand beautiful single-family homes, apartments and commercial office buildings in Hoke, Cumberland, Moore, and Harnett counties. Brother, Ron Huff Executive Vice President serves as the Engineer (PE) and insures the development standards of the subdivisions and the structural integrity of the homes are maintained according to precise plans.
Having both a personal and a working relationship 24 hours a day may not be an ideal situation to some, but the Huffs credit each other for making it work. "To me, it's the best thing we've ever done." Ralph said. "Our marriage is a partnership and our partnership is a marriage. We've achieved a lot, but we've both worked very hard. Linda's been by my side every step of the way." Linda said working in the construction business has given her a new understanding of her husband's job. "Every day is a learning experience, and that's what makes it fun." she said.
The Huff's are both originally from Raeford. Ralph was a loan officer at a savings and loan for several years before obtaining his real estate broker's license in 1979. He managed United Realty from 1982 to 1986, when he left to manage another real estate company. In 1990, he purchased the business from Murray Duggins.
Since then, Coldwell Banker Huff & Pennink Advantage has grown from 16 agents and 250 real estate transactions to 75 agents and more than 1500 transactions. In 1999, The company added a commercial real estate division, Coldwell Banker Commercial United Realty. The company has received a number of awards from the Coldwell Banker organization, including the Premier Office award for the last ten years.
The Huffs are active in local business and civic organizations. Ralph is a past president of the Kiwanis club, serves on committees for the Cumberland County Business Council and the Fayetteville Home Builders Association, and is past president of the Fayetteville Association of Realtors and Homebuilders Association of Fayetteville. He is one of the few local businessmen who have been named Realtor of the Year and Homebuilder of the Year (2004). To complete the trifecta for the Huffs, H&H Homes was named Small Business of the Year in 2004 by the Methodist College Center of Entrepreneurship. Linda served on the Parade of Homes Homebuilders and Membership Committees and is a member of the board of directors of the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce.
