The quarterly inspection of our Gym equipment has brought attention to cleaning/sanitizing issues.
It has been recommended that the cleaning of consoles with the sanitizing wipes on the treadmills, ellipticals and stationary bikes will very quickly cause them to malfunction as moisture gets under or within those areas. As you may continue to wipe the equipment with sanitizing wipes, please refrain from using these wipes on the electronics.
The following is the new procedure for sanitizing all electronic consoles of Treadmills, Ellipticals and Stationary Bikes:
- Please start with a dry paper towel, spray Lysol onto the paper towel and then wipe the electronic console. If the console still appears wet, please wipe with another dry paper towel.
This procedure is to minimize expense and maximize the life of our equipment to ensure extended use for all residents.
