Self-Nomination for HOA Board Positions

The Mimosa Bay HOA Board of Directors will have three available positions  for the 2020-2022 term. The positions to be filled are Treasurer, Secretary and Assistant Secretary.

The self-nomination form is attached and will also be emailed  to the homeowner email address on file with CAMS. In order to be listed on the ballot that will be sent in the Annual Meeting Packet, self-nomination forms need to be received by CAMS via the email or mailing address listed on the self-nomination form by 26 October. Self-nomination forms will also be available in the annual packet and can be submitted at the Annual Meeting on 21 November 2020. All nominees will have an opportunity at the Annual Meeting to address the homeowners present prior to the final in person voting.

HOA Members will have the opportunity to virtually vote via email or mail using the ballot in the Annual Meeting Packet that will be delivered via mail and email to each resident. HOA Members will also have the opportunity to vote at the Annual Meeting on 21 November 2020.

This is a volunteer position and the requirements / duties / considerations for member of the HOA Board of Directors are listed below:

  • HOA Board positions are for a two-year term (November 2020 – November 2022)
  • Attend monthly HOA Board Meeting the first Tuesday of each month, quarterly Town Hall Meetings, and Annual Meeting.
  • Respectfully communicate with all residents and volunteers within the community.
  • Develop a working knowledge of Mimosa Bay Covenants & Bi-Laws.
  • Work cooperatively with fellow board members, committee members, on site representative and CAMS.
  • Communicate on a frequent basis with fellow board members via text, phone, email and in person meetings.
  • Commitment to objective consideration when addressing community concerns.
  • Commitment to focus on enforcement of covenants & bi-laws, protecting property values and responsible stewardship of shared assets and amenities in every decision.
